About Jeanne

Jeanne Oliver, the founder of Leadership & Life Strategies, is a certified leadership coach and performance consultant with expertise in designing and executing programs for improved leadership, personal effectiveness, and team performance. She has more than 25 years of experience in leadership and management roles and brings personal experience on what makes an effective leader and how to build high-performing teams.

Jeanne has an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She coaches in both English and French and brings extensive international and cross-cultural experience to her leadership and coaching practice, as well as 20 years of experience working with US government agencies and five years with the United Nations. She has worked and studied in 26 countries across South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia and has traveled to other 17 countries around the globe. She is a certified feedback provider for several leadership, personality, and emotional intelligence assessments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0), Mentor Leadership Battery, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), and the Energy Leadership Index (ELI). She also has experience delivering the OPM Leadership 360, Leadership Profile 360, RBL Leadership Code® 360, FIRO-B® Test, Passion Revealer, and other assessment tools.

Jeanne currently provides individual and group coaching for executives, managers, and other professionals. She also delivers workshops and programs in leadership assessment and development for a variety of clients. Since 2009, she has provided individual coaching and training to over 4,600 different clients, including:

What makes Jeanne unique is the in-depth understanding that her work and life experiences have given her in the areas of leadership, personal and team effectiveness, and organizational dynamics.


She began her career at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, where she evaluated organizational structures and leadership needs to improve the effectiveness of refugee assistance programs. In the positions that followed, Jeanne managed a number of multimillion-dollar international development projects as a government contractor. She also led operations management and strategic planning for a wide variety of corporate and business initiatives. With each position of increasing responsibility, Jeanne began focusing more of her attention on leadership and how it impacts performance issues and organizational success. Eventually, she began to focus all of her attention in this area and came to serve as the Vice President of Education and Performance Development at a $40 million government contracting business where she served as an executive advisor and expert in leadership development.


Jeanne used this experience and passion for performance improvement to launch Leadership & Life Strategies, Inc. Through being coached herself, she came to understand that her motivation for building this firm was to create a more personal and holistic coaching experience that could be precisely targeted to individual needs. She also wanted the flexibility to work for a variety of clients where she could use her broad perspective as an accomplished organizational leader to partner with other executives, organizational teams, and individuals looking to transform.
